Kitchen Materials

There are several common materials used in the construction of kitchen cabinets and are most famous in the following use :

  • Wood
  • Aluminum
  • khasmonium
  • Acrylic
  • HPL
  • PVC
  • Poly-lac
  • Lami Glass
  • Potk Polly Lac

Wood

Wood cabinets are a classic feature in any kitchen due to:

Easy to install

It looks beautiful because of the jams that are in it

We can painted by lacquer thinner

Durable, high endurance in case of use of oak wood, beech

Because the wood is very expensive, we make center panels by wood and the other side of the counter that is manufactured from MDF.

Disadvantages

Wood is a very expensive material.

To treat wood against heat or humidity, it's very expensive.

It affects water over time and attracts fungi.

Aluminum

light material

Easy to clean

Waterproof

Cheap in cost.

Metals boasts a unique look. Treated metal is sturdy, rust-resistant and stain-resistant. Metal doors are unaffected by heat and humidity. These sheets are easy to scrub and clean, and are therefore unaffected by the spice- and frying-induced grime deposited in our kitchens..

Disadvantages:

Since aluminum is a light material, any mess in it is marked and scratched .

Although it's practical, not all people like it.

Because the aluminum material is metal hinged, with the opening and locking the hinges disintegrate

There is not much room in the formation of unit doors, most of the doors are flat

These sheets also have the tendency to dent and scratch. Last but not least, their doors and drawers are noisier than those of other materials.

The khasmonium

This is a wood-shaped material, and its ore is aluminum, but stronger than aluminum because its sector has 2 sheets.

Solid material

Disadvantages

Scratch-resistant

This material is termite-proof, anticorrosive, and easy to maintain. Just like laminates, PVC sheets are easy to source and replace. PVC is an economical and sound alternative in comparison to laminates and wood-based products.

Disadvantage

it’s damaged in a short time.

In the case of a gas that causes cancer in the long term (15-20 years)

PVC sheets do not come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. These sheets are not fire-resistant and they are yellow with age. The only hardware that is compatible with plastic can be used for hinges, handles, and tracks. Some plastics soften with time, so the joints loosen.
